About SARWA (Mission)
The mission of the Santa Ana River Watershed Alliance (SARWA) is to preserve, restore and enhance the Santa Ana River, its watershed and its natural, cultural and recreational resources.
The Alliance is a stakeholder-based watershed group working to improve the watershed management plan, support ecosystem restoration and maintenance, and increase watershed education and water conservation. Four committees have been formed to help further these goals, they include: Projects and Mapping, Water Conservation and Quality, Outreach and Education and Funding and Maintenance. These committees will work to improve water quality, watershed planning, supporting water conservation with drought tolerant gardens and other water conservation means, encourage greenway projects along the river and reach out to the public to help us support these goals.
SARWA meets on the second Thursday of every month from 10 am to noon at the Santiago Lawn Bowling Center located at 2615 Valencia, Santa Ana CA 92705. See map.
